In 1998, I obtained a Masters of Social Work degree from Boston University. My goal at the time was to improve the quality of life for all my clients. My passion was working/volunteering for children affected and infected by HIV/AIDS.

While struggling with weight throughout my life, I became interested in fitness and living a healthier lifestyle. I began focusing on eating healthy, hiking, taking fitness classes, and even hired a personal trainer. Seeing and feeling the results of a more active lifestyle, I developed a passion for fitness, and began teaching group fitness classes in 2005.

I enjoy continuing to change the lives of people every day. Being a personal trainer is more about re-training the mind than training the body. The body responds to fitness conditioning on a biological level; whereas the mind needs to learn to develop healthy habits that are easily sustainable throughout life. Fitness and health are the tools I use to re-train the mind and train the body.
